Before You Begin
- Log in to BeED using your account credentials.
- Make sure your active role is set to Educator (or Admin).
- From the left menu, navigate to Hub, open your Hub, and locate the Room you want to duplicate in the left panel.
What is Room Duplication?
Duplicating a Room creates one or more copies of an existing Room within the same Hub. You can choose to carry over the Room's Experio and Educators into the copies โ saving you the time of setting up new Rooms from scratch.
Learners are never duplicated โ only Experio and Educators can be carried over into copied Rooms.
Let's get started ๐
How to Duplicate a Room
- In the Room List on the left panel, locate the Room you want to duplicate.
- Click the three-dot (โฎ) More Settings menu on that Room.
- Select Duplicate.
- The Duplicate Room popup will appear.
Inside the Duplicate Room popup:
Step 1 โ Choose what to include
Under Options include, tick the items you want to carry over into the duplicate(s):
- Experio โ includes all Experio currently linked to this Room.
- Educator โ includes all Educators currently assigned to this Room.
You can tick both, one, or neither โ leaving both unticked creates an empty copy of the Room.
Step 2 โ Set the number of copies
Under Number of copies, enter how many duplicate Rooms you want to create:
- Default is 1.
- Maximum is 10 copies per duplication action.
- Numbers only โ non-numeric characters will not register in the field.
Step 3 โ Confirm
- Click the Duplicate button to create the copies.
- On hover, the button colour becomes a gradient.
- You will be returned to the Hub with the new Room(s) added below the existing Rooms in the Room List.
What Happens After Duplication
- Duplicated Rooms are named automatically following the "Room xx" default naming format (e.g., if Room 01 and Room 02 exist, duplicates become Room 03, Room 04, etc.).
- If you duplicated with Experio included, the same Experio appear in the new Room(s) โ each Room tracks Learner progress independently.
- If you duplicated with Educators included, the same Educators are assigned to the new Room(s) โ they will now appear in multiple Rooms within the Hub.
- Learners are not carried over โ you will need to invite Learners to the new Room(s) separately.
Quick Summary
- Click (โฎ) More Settings on the Room you want to duplicate.
- Select Duplicate.
- Tick Experio and/or Educator to carry them over (optional).
- Enter the number of copies (max 10).
- Click Duplicate โ new Room(s) appear in the Room List.
Room copied and ready โ just add your Learners and you're good to go!
Important Notes / Tips
- Duplicated Rooms are added to the same Hub โ you cannot duplicate a Room into a different Hub.
- The 10-Room per Hub limit still applies โ if duplicating would exceed 10 Rooms total, reduce the number of copies accordingly.
- Duplicated Rooms inherit the Experio schedule settings from the original Room if Experio are carried over โ review and update the schedules in each new Room as needed. See Scheduling Experio Access for how to update them.
- You can rename duplicated Rooms immediately after creation. See Creating and Managing Rooms for how to rename.
- If the Duplicate option is not yet available in your platform version, it may still be rolling out โ check back in a future update.
