Creating a Question Set in B-Wiz

Introduction

The B-Wiz Question Set tool enables educators to quickly create targeted, well-structured questions aligned with lesson objectives and curriculum standards. Whether you need quick checks for understanding or in-depth essay prompts, B-Wiz provides flexible formats to support effective assessment. This guide outlines each step to create and integrate your question sets seamlessly.


Step 1: Access B-Wiz

From the Lesson Creation Module, open the B-Wiz panel located on the right-hand side of your screen.


Step 2: Select “Question Set”

On the B-Wiz dashboard, click Question Set to open the configuration panel for building your question set.


Step 3: Configure Question Settings

 

1. Form

Choose the question format that best suits your assessment needs:

  • MCQ (Single Correct Answer) – One correct option from multiple choices.

  • MCQ (Multiple Correct Answer) – More than one correct option.

  • Short Answer – Brief, open-ended responses.

  • Essay – Extended responses for deeper analysis.

  • Fill in the Blank – Missing words or phrases for students to complete.

 

2. Level

Set the difficulty level:

  • Easy – Basic recall or understanding.

  • Moderate – Requires some reasoning or application.

  • Hard – Demands higher-order thinking skills.

 

3. Type

Identify the nature of the question:

  • Factual – Based on direct information or data.

  • Conceptual – Tests understanding of ideas or principles.

  • Debatable – Invites differing opinions and reasoning.

  • Real-Life Application – Connects knowledge to practical situations.

If none of these match your requirements, select Other and enter your custom option.


Step 4: Provide Requirements or Upload Reference Material

You can manually fill in lesson requirements or add an existing reference file to guide content generation.

Option 1: Manually Fill in Requirements:

 

  • Learning Objectives – Define clear, measurable goals.
    Example: “Understand the properties of light and build a predictive model.”

  • Subject – State the relevant subject (e.g., Science, Mathematics).

  • Age – Indicate the target age range (e.g., 7–9 years).

  • Curriculum – Select the applicable standard (KSSM, IB, IGCSE, etc.).

  • Language – Choose the language in which the content will be written.

  • Save as – Provide a meaningful file name for easy retrieval.

 

Option 2 – Upload Reference Material:

 

  • Upload from your computer – Accepts PDF files up to 10 MB.

  • Reuse a previously uploaded file – Select from your saved references.

 

You may also add extra instructions below the reference section to fine-tune the generated output.


Step 5: Generate the Question Set

Once all fields are complete, click Create Now. B-Wiz will generate 10 questions based on your inputs.


Step 6: Add Questions to Your Lesson

 

To insert a generated question into your current lesson, click the blue icon beside the question. A new block will automatically be created within your lesson structure.
