Before You Begin
- Log in to BeED using your account credentials.
- Make sure your active role is set to Learner.
- From the left menu, navigate to Hub.
What You'll Find on the Hub Main Page
When you open Hub, you'll see all the Hubs you have been invited to. From here you can search for a specific Hub, filter by status, switch between views, and click into any Hub to start learning.
You will only see Hubs where your Educator has added you to a Room. Hubs you have not been invited to will not appear in your list.
Let's get started π
Searching for a Hub
- Use the Search field in the top frame to find a specific Hub by title.
- A (x) clear icon appears after typing 1 character β click it to reset the search.
- Suggestions appear automatically after typing 2 or more characters.
Filtering Your Hub List
Use the Hub Status Filter to narrow down what you see.
| Option | What it shows |
|---|---|
| All Status | All Hubs you have access to |
| Active | Only Hubs that are currently running |
Filtered results are always sorted by most recent creation date first (newest to oldest).
Scheduled and Paused Hubs are not visible to Learners β you will only see Hubs that are Active or have Ended.
Switching Between Grid and List View
Use the view toggle to switch between two display modes.
- Grid view β the default. Shows the Hub cover image, title, total members, and duration.
- List view β adds a one-line Hub description alongside the same details as Grid view.
To switch views:
- Click the List icon to switch to List view.
- Click the Grid icon to return to Grid view.
Once you switch to List view and interact with a Hub, List view becomes your default for future visits.
Understanding Hub Cards
Each Hub card shows the following information:
Grid View Card:
- Hub status label β Active, Ended. (Scheduled and Paused Hubs are hidden from your list.)
- Hub cover image β in 4:3 aspect ratio.
- Hub title β 1 line, truncated if long. Hover over the title to see the full title in a tooltip.
- Total Members β the combined count of all Educators and Learners in the Hub.
- Hub Duration β shown in dd/mm/yyyy format if a duration has been set.
List View Card adds:
- Hub description β 1 line. Empty if the Educator did not add one.
Opening a Hub
- Click anywhere on a Hub card to open it and view its contents.
- There is no separate "View" button β the entire card is clickable.

Important Notes / Tips
- You cannot create Hubs as a Learner. Hubs are created and managed by your Educators or Admins.
- Scheduled and Paused Hubs are hidden from your list entirely β if you cannot find a Hub, it may be paused or not yet started. Check with your Educator.
- Ended Hubs remain visible in your list for reference, but you can no longer submit Experio in an Ended Hub.
- Hub cards load automatically as you scroll β there is no pagination button. If more Hubs exist beyond what's visible, keep scrolling and they will load.
- If your Hub list is completely empty, you have not yet been added to any Room by an Educator. Reach out to your Educator or school administrator for assistance.
