Before You Begin
- Log in to BeED using your account credentials.
- Make sure your active role is set to Learner.
- From the left menu, navigate to Hub and open the Hub you want to access.
If you can't find your Hub on the main page, see Getting Started with Hub first.
What You'll See Inside a Hub
Once you open a Hub, you enter your Hub workspace β where your Rooms, Experio, and learning information are all laid out. This guide walks you through everything you'll see and how to navigate it.
Let's get started π
The Top Frame
At the top of the screen you'll see two elements:
1. Hub Icon & Title On the top-left, the Hubs icon and title are displayed. These are for navigation reference only β nothing happens when you hover or click.
2. Hub Status On the top-right, the current Hub status is shown (e.g. Active). This is display only β nothing happens when you hover or click.
As a Learner, you will only ever see Hubs with an Active status. Scheduled and Paused Hubs are not visible to you.
The Left Frame β Back to Dashboard
On the left side of the screen, you'll find a Back icon.
- On hover β the icon background turns pale blue and a tooltip appears: "Back to the Dashboard."
- On click β you are returned to the Hub main page (your Hub list).
The Hero Section
The Hero Section sits at the top of the workspace and gives you a summary of the Hub. It contains the following:
1. Hub Cover Image Displayed in a 4:3 aspect ratio. Clicking or hovering does nothing.
2. Hub Title Shows a maximum of 1 line. If the title is longer, it will be truncated with "...". Hover over the title to see the full title in a tooltip.
3. Hub Description Shows 1 line by default. Click Show More to read the full description.
4. Icons and Metadata Below the title and description you'll see:
- Total Participants β the combined count of all Educators and Learners in this Hub.
- Start Date β End Date β only shown if your Educator has set a duration for the Hub.
The Room Content Area
Below the Hero Section is your Room β the space your Educator has set up for you. At the top of the Room you'll see the Room name, followed by three tabs:
Experio Tab
This is where your assigned lessons live. Everything you need to learn, track, and download is here. See Viewing and Tracking Your Experio for the full guide.
Learner Tab
Shows a list of all Learners in your Room, including their names and email addresses. This tab is view only β you can search and sort the list, but no actions are available.
- Search β find a Learner by name. Results appear after 2 characters.
- Sort By β Name AβZ or Name ZβA.
Each Learner can only appear in one Room within the same Hub β no duplicates.

- The Learner and Educator tabs are for reference only. You cannot invite, remove, or manage anyone from these tabs.
- If your Room appears empty with no Experio, your Educator may not have imported any lessons yet, or the access period has not started. Check with your Educator.
- Everything in the Hero Section is display only β to update Hub details, contact your Educator.
- For a full guide on finding and accessing your Experio, see Viewing and Tracking Your Experio.
