✅ Stage Restriction in Experio: Guide for Educators
📘 What is Stage Restriction?
Stage Restriction is a feature that lets you control the learning flow by locking stages in your lesson. Learners must finish one stage before they can move to the next. This ensures they follow the lesson in order and fully understand each part.
🎯 Why Use Stage Restriction?
Make Sure Learners Understand: Learners must finish and understand a stage before moving on.
Clear Learning Path: Helps learners move step by step.
Better Learning Results: Reduces confusion and missing knowledge.
Track Progress: Lets you see how far learners have gone and where they need help.
🔧 How to Enable Stage Restriction
Go to your Content Creation page.
Find and switch on the Enable Stage Restriction toggle.
A pop-up will appear:
“Reordering stages is disabled when stage restriction is enabled. Would you like to proceed?”
Click Yes to set up the restrictions.
Click No to cancel.
🔒 Once enabled, you cannot rearrange stages.
🧭 Setting Stage Restrictions
Once enabled:
A panel appears where you can choose which stages to lock.
The first stage is always open.
Locking starts from stage 2 onwards.
You can choose to:
Lock individual stages
Or click Lock All Stages to lock all from stage 2 onward.
Use the Apply button to save your settings.
Press X to exit the setup.
If you’ve made changes but haven’t saved them, a prompt will ask:
“You have unsaved changes. Do you want to save before exiting?”
Yes = Save & Exit
No = Discard & Exit
Cancel = Stay on the page
🚫 Important Warnings

You’ll see this message:

If you try to disable the toggle after saving restrictions:
You'll see this message:
“Disabling will remove all saved settings. Do you want to continue?”
Yes = Remove settings and disable.
