Join a B-Meet session as a learner
When you join a B-Meet session as a learner, some features might be limited depending on your educator’s settings. This means you can join and take part in the class, but certain tools, like your microphone, camera, or chat, may be turned off or locked during the session.
These limits are set to help the class stay focused and organised. You’ll still be able to listen to the discussion, view shared presentations, and participate whenever your educator enables the tools for you. This setup helps make sure everyone has a smooth and distraction-free learning experience.

Presenter Access in B-Meet
When your Educator grants you Presenter Access, you gain temporary permissions to share your own content during a live B-Meet session. This allows you to actively participate and present materials, similar to how your educator manages the class.
The purpose is to help learners understand their role and available actions when given Presenter Access in a B-Meet session, including sharing content and managing the whiteboard.
What You Can Do as a Presenter
Share Your Content – Present your own slides, documents, or other materials directly in the session, just like your educator.
Control the Whiteboard – Take whiteboard access from the educator or moderator when needed.
Give Whiteboard Access to Others – Pass the whiteboard control to another participant if your educator allows it.
Note
Presenter access is temporary and can be changed back by the educator or moderator at any time.
Use this access responsibly to keep the session organised and focused.
If you lose presenter access, you’ll return to standard learner mode automatically.
Action Button
- Action Button in B-Meet gives quick access to important controls during a live session.
Upload/Manage Presentations – Allows you to upload and organise presentation files to display and control during the session.
Start a Poll/Quiz – Lets you create quick polls or quizzes to gather feedback or check understanding from participants.
Share an External Video – Enables you to share videos from external sources (like YouTube) directly in the session for everyone to watch together.
Share Camera as Content – Lets you share your camera feed as the main presentation content instead of your slides or screen.
Share Website Link as Content – Allows you to share and display a web page link that participants can view together in real time.
Pick Random User – Randomly selects a participant from the room, useful for Q&A, activities, or engagement exercises.
