What is the Allow/Disallow Post-Submission Edits Feature?

This feature allows educators to control whether learners can edit their answers after submitting them. Educators can toggle this setting within the question block to suit the specific needs of their lessons or assessments.


How Does It Work for Educators?

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Access the Question Block:
    • Navigate to the question block in your lesson or assessment.
  2. Locate the Toggle Buttons:
    • Find the following toggles:
      • Show Answer: Controls whether learners can view the correct answers after submission.
      • Post-Submission Edit: Controls whether learners can revise their answers after submission
  3. Toggle Settings:
    • When Post-Submission Edit is ON:
      • Learners can edit their responses after submission.
      • The "Save" button in the learner's view changes to an "Edit" button (default behavior).
    • When Post-Submission Edit is OFF:
      • Learners cannot edit their responses after submission.
      • The "Save" button is disabled and appears greyed out.
  4. Default Settings:
    • The Show Answer toggle is set to OFF by default.
    • The Post-Submission Edit toggle is set to ON by default.

How Does It Work for Learners?

  • When Post-Submission Edit is ON:
    • Learners can click the "Edit" button to revise their submitted responses.
  • When Post-Submission Edit is OFF:
    • The "Save" button is greyed out, preventing learners from making changes to their submitted responses.
